TANZANIA AND POLAND BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT FORUM
The Tanzania–Poland Business and Investment Forum, held today, 1 July 2026, at Johari Rotana, Dar es Salaam, brought together senior government officials, business leaders, investors and private sector stakeholders from both countries to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore new opportunities for sustainable economic growth. Hon. Dr. Fred Msemwa, Permanent Secretary, President’s Office Planning and Investment, highlighted that Tanzania has registered 11 Polish projects worth approximately USD 21.77 million, creating 373 jobs across agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, energy, finance and transportation. He noted that these projects demonstrate the growing confidence of Polish investors in Tanzania and the Government’s continued commitment to maintaining a competitive, investor-friendly business environment. Representing Poland, Ms. Katarzyna Sobiecka, Chargé d’Affaires, reaffirmed Poland’s commitment to long-term collaboration through technology transfer, innovation and industrial development. She highlighted opportunities in manufacturing, agriculture, renewable energy and digital technologies, noting the increasing interest of Polish companies in doing business with Tanzania. TISEZA Board Chairman, Hon. Amb. Dr. Aziz Mlima, remarked that the Forum marks the beginning of implementing Tanzania Vision 2050, laying the foundation for a stronger economic partnership between the two nations. Discussions emphasized value addition, innovation, manufacturing and job creation as key drivers of inclusive economic growth that will deliver lasting benefits to the people of both Tanzania and Poland.
