Today, the Tanzania–Namibia Business Forum was successfully held at Johari Rotana, Dar es Salaam, bringing together government leaders, business executives, and investors from both countries to strengthen bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

The Forum, graced by H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, marked an important milestone in advancing strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating industrialization, investment, and sustainable economic growth.

Addressing the Forum, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the complementary strengths of Tanzania and Namibia, calling for stronger collaboration in health, sanitation, mining, tourism, transport, agriculture, housing, and land development. She emphasized that by combining the two countries’ determination, innovation, and shared vision, both nations can unlock greater investment opportunities, create jobs, and build a more prosperous future.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to creating a competitive investment environment, highlighting the country’s strategic location as a gateway to both the East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) markets. She also showcased Tanzania’s ongoing industrial transformation through TISEZA, where investor facilitation services have been integrated under one roof, enabling approvals to be processed within 24 hours.

The President further identified key priority areas for enhanced cooperation, including the expansion of Dar es Salaam Port and the Bagamoyo Special Economic Zone, strengthening value chains in agriculture, fisheries, livestock, and minerals, improving direct air connectivity to boost tourism and trade, and promoting Kiswahili as a regional business language to support greater economic integration.
