Tanzania has officially entered a new era of investment reform. On 1st July 2025, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, signed into law the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Act, 2025 — a major milestone in building a more attractive, efficient, and supportive environment for investors.

This new law introduces key changes to simplify and speed up investment processes while ensuring greater transparency and coordination in managing Special Economic Zones (SEZs). It is designed to give investors the confidence and clarity they need to succeed.

A major highlight of the reform is the creation of the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), which is now fully operational. TISEZA brings together all investment and SEZ-related services under one roof through a dedicated One Stop Centre, making it easier for investors to access the support they need.
