The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has appointed Mr. Gilead J. Teri as the Director General of the newly established Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA).

Mr. Teri now leads the new Authority, which was formed through the merger of the Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) and the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) under the Investment and Special Economic Zones Act No. 6 of 2025. His appointment marks a significant milestone in the Government’s ongoing efforts to streamline investment services and enhance the coordination and development of Special Economic Zones.

As the first Director General of TISEZA, Mr. Teri is entrusted with advancing the Authority’s mandate to promote, facilitate, and oversee investments in Tanzania. He will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of efficient, transparent, and investor-friendly services through a centralized One-Stop Facilitation Centre.
