TANZANIA AND POLAND BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT FORUM

The Tanzania-Poland Business and Investment Forum, held on, July 1st, 2026, at the Johari Rotana in Dar es Salaam, brought together senior government officials and private sector stakeholders from both nations to foster trade and unlock new investment opportunities for economic development. The Permanent Secretary in the President's Office Planning and Investment, Dr. Fred Msemwa, stated that Tanzania has registered 11 projects from Poland valued at approximately USD 21.77 million, creating 373 jobs across the agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, energy, finance, and transport sectors. He noted that these achievements reflect Poland's confidence in Tanzania's business environment and the Government's commitment to maintaining a competitive and business-friendly climate. Speaking on behalf of Poland, Ms. Katarzyna Sobiecka from the Polish Embassy in Tanzania reaffirmed Poland's commitment to a long-term partnership with Tanzania, driven by technology transfer and innovation. She highlighted Poland's significant strengths in manufacturing, agriculture, renewable energy, and digital technologies, noting that the presence of Polish companies signifies a genuine commitment to cooperation between the two nations. Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the TISEZA Board, Ambassador Dr. Aziz Mlima explained that the forum marks the beginning of the implementation of the National Development Vision 2050, which will lay a solid foundation for strengthening economic ties between Tanzania and Poland. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on value addition, innovation, skills development, and job creation as key pillars of inclusive economic growth, ensuring that citizens of both nations benefit from the resulting opportunities.
